Sonu Ambwani was born on February 2nd, 1969.She is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, CBSH, GBPUA&T, Pantnagar with more than 16 years of academic work experience. She has worked in the area of abiotic stress induced immunotoxicity and herbal immunomodulation.

She has guided more than 11 M.Sc. students. She has more than 45 research publications in reputed national and international journals to her credit. She has been actively involved in the organization of various trainings/ seminars/ conferences in the College.

She has a throughout meritorious academic career. Her keen interest in advance research inclined her to join M.Sc. (Biotechnology) at I.V.R.I., Izatnagar, UP, and later on Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at GBPUA&T, Pantnagar.
